hey, i'm speaking from my own experience on this one. about the movies, be careful what you read about one movie or another, especially of those which you haven't saw yet. a very subjective (fuck, they are all subjective) review can make you skip a good movie.. or at least a movie that would suit your tastes. i'm a bastard, i know, since there is no way of knowing which review is more competent or more realistic, but i tell you, you can sniff the "fakes" by the way they're writen. you can feel from the start if the author of those lines expresses his disappointments or he merely wants to depict a image of the film.

My pain is constant and sharp and I do not hope for a better world for anyone, in fact I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape...

and also pay attention to speeding cars!

no, you're right. provided you don't want to spend money on a ticket to see a movie that's got a bad review, you could at least download it and form your own opinion before blowing it off on account of some internet review that, as you said, may or may not be accurate/objective.

btw, how many of you actually go to a cinema from time to time to watch a movie and how many are "Yarrr! I'll just plunder it off the torrent sites matey!"?

The low quallity of a movie, be it image or sound, as well as the circumstances (people laughing rudely or chopping wood, or drinking and swearing) may determine someone to say about that movie that is bad.

I agree with you all. People should understand better or accept the fact that a movie is a state of spirit, a state of mind at a given moment... both for the creator, the author of the idea and the viewer, too...

Yeah, it depends on the state of mind or spirit, but sometimes it just sucks. If the actors are bad, no amount of directing can save that movie. It's one of the reasons why I prefer movies with known actors. I know what I'm getting in most cases and I'll watch the movie even if the reviews aren't that great.

Some actors just can't fail in their plays, but sometimes there are good roles in bad movies. In this situation, it depends on the viewer, which one counts the most for him. There are all sorts of combinations of good/bad ideas, actor performances, screenplay, effects, etc... The state of mind of the viewer and his mood will only be the judge of that.
