Christian Bale

You mentioned him when talking about "Equilibrium". That was the first movie in which I saw Bale. Liked him ever since.

I guess his first Hollywood appearance was in "Empire of the Sun", in 1987, a resounding movie. From a talented child, he got a talented, mature actor.
Playing some key roles that helped him get among the top performers, like those in "Reign of Fire", "The Machinist", "Batman Begins", "American Psycho" and others, Bale became quickly a public's favourite.

Talented actor, indeed. I like him. From what I know, he lost weight on purpose, about 15 kilos, for the role in The machinist. And he did this in a month or two. That's something!

RE: Christian Bale
Seems like Christian is a bit in trouble.

Quote:
Christian Bale on Tuesday denied allegations of assault made by his mother and sister, hours after the star of "The Dark Knight" was arrested, questioned by London police and released.

Can't believe this. It's a set up, for sure. Familiy don't usually complain about these, unless cases with obvious criminal behaviours at the defendent and I doubt they were abused at all, ever.

I find it hard to believe, too. But people do unrational things sometime.. who knows, maybe the film broke him, too, somehow.
