City of God (2002)

By its original title, "Cidade de Deus", the film is a dramatic approach on the life in Rio de Janeiro, where most man joined, when kids, the local mob networks. In a city deeply marked by poverty, selling drugs, running errands for the "hoods" could get them dirty, but desired money.
A lot of gun fight, gangs attacking each other, trying to get their business running, this is the general environmnet of the movie.
In this world of violence, there is one boy that made it through honourable, becoming a photographer for the local news.
The movie is in portuguese, a little hard to find, but I enjoyed it. It's not a movie to be seen twice, in my opinion.
